Sports

Some sports in Iran go back thousands of years, such as horse riding, archery, wrestling (zurkhaneh), polo. But Iran has taken up all modern sports. Gyms abound in cities, as do swimming pools. Above all, Iran offers, through the variety of its climates and natural environments, ideal terrain for all kinds of sports and all types of athletes. Some suggestions:

  • Skiing in Aborz, far from the crowded slopes of Europe, and at low prices.
  • Iran is a mountainous country: the Alborz, the Zagros and countless reliefs on the Plateau are all reasons for climbing, for all levels of difficulty.
  • Go diving in the crystal clear waters of the Persian Gulf.
  • Go down rivers in a canoe.
  • Discover new landscapes during trekking itineraries.
  • Travel the country by bike.
  • Ride in the Turkmen plains (or elsewhere).

We can imagine several combinations, and even in a single day: skiing in the morning north of Tehran, then after a flight, diving in the clear waters of the Gulf.

To develop a program that best suits your desires and abilities, we will put you in contact with a specialized guide – trekker, mountaineer, diver, rider or even sports federation – who will be able to advise you and find the best options for you.
